What is ping

I am going to breifly explain the answer of "what is ping?".

What is ping ?
Simple answer:
Pin is very useful method that allows user to verify that a particular IP address
is accessible or not .

what is ping and how it works :
The ping command first sends an request packet to an address, then waits for a reply. The ping is thriving only if the request gets to the location and the location can get an reply back to the source within a predetermined time.If reply can't get back to source within predetermined time then it is called timeout  . The default value of this timeout is 2 seconds on Cisco routers.

Responses:

reply :

 when you see this response from pinged address,it means your connection is lovely.Note the time of replies received . Awesomeness of connection is depending on number of replies.

Ping errors:

delay :

if you don't receive any reply from the remote end within

default time ,the ping fails.

spelling error:

if your computer is not recognizing the IP address that you are pinging.

This error will recommend you to check the spelling of the host name.

unplugged:

 If you are unplugged then it will be hardware error.

host unreachable:if the host is not operating on the network that you are trying to ping.
