Great breakthrough in wireless charging technology made ​​by Russian scientists from Saint Peters burg State University of Information Technologies and "SRI Girikond." They invented a fundamentally new way of wireless transmission of energy using the ceramic insulators. The technology of wireless power transmission due to the effect of the resonant interaction of two copper coils was invented in 2007 by experts at MIT (MIT). 

During the tests, they were able to light a 60-watt light bulb power, which was at a distance of 2.5 meters from the power source. Around the transmitter spread magnetic field, which came to light bulbs connected to a coil tuned to the same frequency. This technology is called WiTricity (from Wireless Electricity - wireless electricity) and now it is used for charging smartphones, tablets and other devices.
