The software giant announced the upcoming release of Skype for Windows with the function, which was first introduced at the beginning of last summer. In particular, with the new update, you can use Skype Translator without having to install a separate app (which is currently in pre-release version), as the service will be integrated directly into the desktop client.
For those who do not know or forgot, Skype Translator provides simultaneous translation in six languages (currently supports English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese) in the mode of voice and video calls. Thus, with this function speak different languages people can communicate in real time.Also, Skype Translator provides translation text chat (supports 50 languages).
About the beginning of the integration process, it was announced today, but it may take several weeks before the company will release an update that will add a translator table Skype. The new version will be a special button for activating the transfer of voice and text.
The decision to implement Skype Translator in the classic version of the program was made after a long period of testing, thanks to which Microsoft managed to gather important feedback from the beta testers - the first pre-release Skype Translator is dated December 2014.
At the moment, Microsoft is not talking about the possible presence of an interpreter in versions of Skype for other platforms, but it is likely that in the future will have access to Translator users of Mac computers and mobile devices.
