According to the head of the blog Windows marketing at Microsoft OS Tony Prophet (Tony Prophet), it will be released just seven versions of Windows 10. The focus will be on mobile, home, and commercial use of the platform. All of them will be available this summer.

Windows 10 Home

This edition is designed for the total weight of the users and will be used by them on home PCs and laptops. A distinctive feature of Windows 10 Home edition will personal assistant Cortana, the newest Internet browser Microsoft Edge, Continuum mode for touch devices, as well as the safety function Windows Hello, which relies on a system of facial recognition, iris scans and fingerprint scanning. This version also opens the access to the gaming community Microsoft.

10 Windows Mobile

10 Windows Mobile will replace Windows Phone as a platform for smartphones. Continuum function allows you to use your phone as a PC connected to a large display. Windows 10 comes with the Mobile optimized for touch-screen version of Microsoft Office package and other new universal applications.

Windows 10 Pro

Version for personal computers, tablets and devices "2 in 1". Windows 10 Pro repeats the features of Windows 10 Home, but adjusted to the needs of small businesses and gives a wide range of instruments. Microsoft also notes that this version will allow customers to use the new service to automatically update software Windows Update for Business

Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise

Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise is designed for medium and large business. Windows 10 IoT Core

A separate version for devices "Internet of Things". If Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows Mobile Enterprise 10 will run equipment such as ATMs, POS systems and small industrial robots, Windows 10 IoT Core will be installed on small inexpensive devices such as gateways.

It is worth noting that the first three versions mentioned above, will be available as a free upgrade for those who are now using Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows Phone 8.1 in the first 12 months after launch.
